Welcome to our new Southeast IB Parent Alliance website!
Welcome to our new Southeast IB Parent Alliance site! We’re excited to bring to fruition our new site for our Southeast IB Parent Alliance. We’re only in the early stages of designing this site and have high hopes that it will serve as a great resource for our Southeast IB community.
In the initial phase of this site, we have three main goals:
- First, we aim to make a site that will provide a place for our members to go to receive information about the Southeast IB Parent Alliance and about upcoming key events and dates, like SAC (Student Advisory Committee) and Southeast IBPA (International Baccalaureate Parent Alliance) meetings.
- Second, we hope to build a platform that will improve our fundraising efforts for the Southeast IB Parent Alliance and community.
- Third, we want to hear your questions and feedback in regards to how we, the Southeast IB Parent Alliance, can better serve you. So, we want to create a place on this site where you can easily reach us and submit any questions or concerns.
For this first phase of the site, we’ve included an Events Calendar, Blog, “Contact Us” link, and a “Donate Now” button.
Events Calendar
We’re including an Events Calendar that will include the place and time of upcoming events.
During the early stages of our site’s development, this will include all the upcoming SAC and IBPA meeting dates. As the year unfolds, we hope to include more key dates that are relevant to our Southeast IB community, like the date(s) for the Group 4 Project and the IB Pinning celebration.
In the future, we hope to offer a place where teachers, coaches, advisors and administrators can also showcase their upcoming meetings and events. We’d be happy to include relevant events on our calendar here. If you have any dates you’d like added to our Events Calendar, please let us know by using the “Contact Us” link on the site.
Blog & “Contact Us” Link
Another useful addition we’re adding in this initial phase is this blog. We hope to include more articles relevant to IB, our program at Southeast, and our community as the school year unfolds.
In order to build this blog, we need your help. If you have any ideas for blog posts, or would like to contribute, please contact us using the “Contact Us” link on the site. However, please remember this site at the moment is affiliated with the Southeast IB Parent Alliance and that when you use the “Contact Us” link, you are contacting the Southeast IB Parent Alliance board and not the administration at Southeast High School.
“Donate Now” button
Finally, and what we may be most excited about, is our online Fundraising platform. You’ll find a “Donate Now” button on our site, where you can donate directly to our Southeast IB Parent Alliance.
One of our main goals of the Southeast IB Parent Alliance is to fundraise for our program. All funds raised go directly back to our community. Teachers and administrators request funds from the IBPA for IB projects throughout the year to help support specific projects and events, like the Group 4 Project, and we would love to always be able to show our support.
We hope to build a large nest egg of money to give back to our fantastic community throughout the year; and this “Donate Now” button is crucial.
Although you can donate year round, we’ll be hosting a “One Simple Fundraiser” event in the beginning of the school year, which we will roll out at the first IBPA meeting; and we’re hoping to also use this website and button for a holiday Southeast IBPA gear shop, of which there’s some good in store 😉

To conclude, we’re pretty excited about how this site can help improve our community. We look forward to serving you, our students and community, and also working with you to help make our Southeast IB community be the best it can be!
